When I placed my order at
Bureau Bewust (dutch website) for Topo and Kraft paper, I also came across flower/growpaper. I knew this existed for a while, but I had never worked with it before, so I thought: I want to try that! You could choose from various plants: poppies, lettuce mix, thyme and field flowers. Growing up I also found poppies very interesting, I always tried to pick them for my mom (which I couldn't of course), so I bought a few sheets of those.
Besides the fact that it was flower paper, you could also print on it, so I thought it would be cool to experiment with that! The paper was a bit lumpy, so I cut out the shapes (hearts), taped them on pieces of paper and then printed a Dutch pattern on them. Later on it turned out the cutting wasn't necessary, the print was great! Oh well, live and learn :) But the result was awesome! On the back I stamped/wrote "HURRAY it's spring!" I tied the hearts, instructions and business cards together with a divine twine and send it to a few sweet people. Seeing their response, it was a great success!
Real mail is so much more fun :)
